In an effort to
support the important process of developing a meaningful IEP for your
students, we are providing you with the following set of guidelines and
requirements that have been developed over the years for use within our
BOCES system.
Since it is difficult
logistically to include all of the individuals who contribute
information to the IEP development process, we are offering a set of
options from which districts may choose. These options have been
developed by our staff to facilitate this process of coordinating
information and staff so that all can be utilized as effectively as
possible.
We have also included the
timelines that will be followed in our efforts to ensure that the
multiple steps involved in this process occur in concert with the
districts
own planning schedules.
We hope that you find this
booklet helpful as we work together in developing a meaningful IEP and
challenging educational program for your students.
